This router complies with worldwide ADSL standards. It supports downstream rates of up to 12/24 Mbps with ADSL2/2+, 8 Mbps with ADSL, and upstream rates of up to 1 Mbps. In particular, by doubling the upstream data rate, the Annex M standard included in the BiPAC 5200NA model supports the latest ADSL2/2+ standard for higher upload speeds.

Optimal Wireless Speeds and Coverage
With an integrated 802.11n Wireless Access Point, the router delivers up to 6 times the speed and 3 times the wireless coverage of a standard 802.11b/g network device. It supports a data rate of up to 300Mbps, and is also compatible with 802.11b/g equipment. The Wireless Protected Access (WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK) and Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) features enhance the level of transmission security and access control over Wireless LAN. The router further supports the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) standard, allowing users to establish a secure wireless network by simply pushing a button.

Firewall Security and Smooth Traffic
Along with the built-in NAT natural firewall feature, the router's advanced anti hacker pattern-filtering protection feature automatically detects and blocks Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. In addition to the NAT technology, the BiPAC 5200N supports Packet Filtering for high-level security control.
